Garance Doré: Aging is Fab

As I am writing you, it is the first of May and I just turned 50. I remember when I was young and older people were telling they wouldn’t want to go backwards. I think that, in the back of my mind, I never truly believed them. But now that I have arrived, all safe and sound, I can say that I get it.

Garance Doré: Running

I’m finally picked up on running and I do it for no other reason than my mental health.

When it comes to exercise, I’m still working on getting to a great routine—I just arrived in Paris, it probably will take months for me to find a class that works for me (I’m slow!!!)—but I know it’s going to be anything involving weight lifting because I am at that age where, if you don’t take care, your muscles will melt like ice in the sun.

Garance Doré: Fresh!
I’ve always thought that, out of all the adjectives used to describe beauty, my favorite one has to be “fresh.” “Fresh,” to me, is not about youth or perfection. It’s a sense of cleanliness, a breath of air, and of the lightness you feel when joy and excitement are around.
